Converse CTAS 70's Hi Renew Shoes

Seen here in a bold moss green colourway, these Converse CTAS 70’s Hi Renew Shoes have 100% recycled polyester uppers and natural tone laces woven from post consumer plastic bottles. The natural coloured tongue sits comfortably around the top of the foot and has been decorated with the Renew project’s tagline of ‘Life’s Too Short To Waste’, which has been embroidered in the same moss green tone. On the inner side panel the circular Converse Chuck Taylor All Star patch has been stitched as opposed to a rubber overlay and below two embroidered ventilation eyelets match the eye stays on the lace fastening. Neat top stitching across the uppers highlights the hi-top silhouette and running vertically down the back of the heel a natural tone fabric leads to a Converse All Star rubber stamp on top of the thick white midsole. Completing the design, a dark brown tread design provides a high level of grip.

Representing the next leap into sustainable manufacture, the recycled PET plastic fabric developed for Converse’s Renew project varies little in touch and appearance from previous models, whilst each design captures the brand’s iconic design style with signature branding and construction elements. Launched in the summer of 2019, the Converse Renew project has been four years in the making and is set to continue with Renew Denim styles alongside models made from scrap materials collected from the company’s factory floors.
